Product Description
"Mice" Original Printing Tower Video Collector silkscreen poster created to promote Tower Records/Video's Special Edition published in May, 1989.
This one depicts three mice peering out their mouse hole, watching what is presumably an episode of "Pinky and the Brain." A dramatic perspective and a great combination of sky blue, violet and salmon.
I came across a few of these posters created for Tower Video Collector Magazine in the late '80s/early '90s.
The art is so good and the humor so apt and subtle I thought it would be fun to ask the original illustrator Michael Welch to sign a few copies of each and offer them for sale.
I was formerly the publisher of TVC for Tower, where I also did Pulse! and several other publications. Suzanne Mikesell was TVC's editor and Tom Fillebrowne was Art Director.

Hand-signed in pencil by illustrator Mike Welch
Former Sacramentan Michael Welch provided many illustrations for Tower's video magazine TVC, often of anthropomorphic dogs and other animals doing human things. His etchings were used as section graphics and he did many terrific pastel drawings for TVC and Tower Records Pulse! Magazine.
