This is a new Artist's Edition giclee print of David Edward Byrd's 1974 New York Art Deco Exposition poster. It has been annotated and signed in pencil by David.

This one was created by David in 1974 for the landmark New York Art Deco Exhibition which took place inside Radio City Music Hall. It is printed on ultra-premium matte stock.

About this piece, David says, "I was commissioned to do a poster for the largest exhibition of Art Deco period artifacts since the famous Exposition des Artes Decoratif in Paris in 1925, nearly seventy years earlier. It was held in the Upper and Lower Lobbies of the Radio City Music Hall, itself a Deco masterpiece, and over the years has achieved legendary status as a landmark exhibit. And it is certainly the last time we shall see such objects of desire and beauty brought together again. This is a personal favorite."

In addition to his famous Woodstock, Jimi Hendrix and Rolling Stones Tour artwork, Byrd has been a wonderful and prolific illustrator of all types of art. He was especially active in the Broadway show arena, having done the art for Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar and many other Broadway show pieces.
