This travelling Beatles film festival was wildly successful in the mid-70s, touring the world and creating genuine excitement wherever it ran, some half-dozen years after the band officially called it quits.

This is an excerpt from a UPI news release in 1976 about the Moonstar Euphoria Beatles Film Festival:

 "Beatles hysteria continues to sweep the States when the group is honored at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles. A film show, arranged by the production company Moonstar Euphoria, contains freshly printed copies of the group's promotional films and performances in Washington from February 1964 and Tokyo from July 1966."

Variety Magazine said about the Festival:

"The frenzy gets so far out of hand that every time Paul McCartney is shown on the screen, hysteria breaks out in the audience." This leads other American media commentators to write: "There is no doubt that when McCartney tours the US, he will eclipse all existing attendance marks, especially in LA, where he could sell out for two weeks ..."
