Product Description

Glad w Eagles' Tim Schmidt Handbill Encina High School Sacramento 1968 Mint This is a mint-condition handbill for the band Glad, featuring Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmidt back in 1968 when he was a student at Encina High School. Glad, formerly known as the New Breed and later as Redwing, was a very popular Sacramento band from the mid-'60s to the mind-'70s. Glad made one record produced by Terry Melcher and, later, five records for Fantasy Records starting in 1971. Legendary music critic Ralph J. Gleason was a staunch supporter (he wrote the liner notes for their eponymously titled first and best album) of the band and was instrumental in their signing to Fantasy in the wake of Creedence Clearwater Revival's success there. The band has reunited for several Encina High School reunions. Conditon: Spectacular!
