Product Description
There were only four Tower Records stores in 1971; two in Sacramento; one in San Francisco and the brand-new store on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood The merchandising art was created as a '71 regional Rolling Stone insert in Los Angeles promoting the Sunset Blvd. store from Columbia Records and these overruns were posted on telephone poles all over Hollywood. These are fun and unusual artifacts from the recording industry's golden age This one is from Columbia Records; who confidently call themselves "The Music People;" ironically focusing on the labels but not the bands; which are seen in the smallest possible type screened back so as to be almost invisible; which is too bad; since Columbia had an amazing roster of artists in many genres; arguably the most comprehensive in the record business in 1971! This original poster is offset printed and measures about 11.5" x 15.5" each. It is in Near Mint condition and I only have a few.
